Magnitude of interference

Magnitude of interference quantity size determines the size of the rolling pressure, fluid rolling pressure increases with increasing as the magnitude of interference. Magnitude of interference quantity should not only consider the selected by the uneven plastic deformation of the surface of the workpiece, but also want to consider the change of cylinder diameter size. If the roughness is to be reduced, can be selected with a smaller value, not exceeding the value needed to press the front groove of the original surface roughness into the press. The value of the overshoot is controlled, that is, the roller burnishing pressure is controlled. In processing Φ 125 cylinder as an example, the interference measuring 0.15 ~ 0.18 is advisable.


Roller burnishing speed

Roller burnishing speed has certain influence on rolling effect, but it mainly affects production efficiency. Increasing the roller burnishing speed can improve the production efficiency. However, the selection of the speed of roller burnishing pressure should take into account the rigidity and vibration of the machine tool, as well as the wear and friction heat of the parts of the roller burnishing tool. Excessive roller burnishing speed will increase the bending of cylinder barrel, increase the vibration of machine tool, and reduce the durability of roller burnishing tool’s parts.

The practical experience shows that the selection range of rolling speed is 1~1.5m/s.


Roller burnishing feed

The surface quality and production efficiency of cylinder can be directly affected by the feed quantity of rolling process. Since there is a deflection Angle in the structure in FIG. 1, in order to prevent the roller from sliding to the other end and maintain certain rolling pressure, the feed quantity is at least 10 more than the self-feed quantity. Because the contact area of the cone roller is large, a large amount of feed can be taken to improve the production efficiency. However, when the original surface quality is poor, a smaller feed quantity 8=1.5~2.5mm/r should be adopted.
